Homecoming Reception

The Juniors are responsible for providing the Homecoming Reception and this is the list of what each student signed up to bring:

Everyone is to bring 1 2 liter of Ginger Ale and 1 bottle of White Grape Juice.
The class will pay for a cake and floral arrangement

DC trip

hi everybody, finally got my computer so I can fill you in on the DC trip.  The first deposit is due next week on 9/5.  Your child brought home a sheet with the prices for quad occupancy, triple occupancy, double occupancy, single occupancy. If you dont have the sheet, I can send you another!  If you would like to go to, the deposit for both of you is due by Friday, $200 per person.

with the growing concern regarding a number of social issues that impact our children today, there will be a program that is scheduled for Thursday, january 23 in the school cafetorium.  The program will be for students in grades 7-12 and will begin at 9:00.  This program will deal with topics such as internet safety, sexting and cyber safety/bullying.  the program will be presented by Brent Cosby, MS, from Laurel Oaks Behavioral health Center in Dothan, Alabama.  Parents are cordially invited to attend.  If you choose for your child not to attned, please contact the school office at 566-2023

juniors-test on chapters 12 & 13 Thursday, review for exams starts friday.
seniors- test tomorrow on chapter 15.  review rest of week for exams.
exams are 1st and 3rd thursday.  2nd period on wednesday

each family is also asked to send $10 by december 19th to help pay for food during the deer hunt scheduled for january 10-12

week of October 28th

Juniors- some of the students signed up to help at the Carnival on the 29th, please don't forget!   Also we will have a test on Chapters 9, 11 and the Constitution on Thursday

Seniors- we will start a new chapter on marketing this week and will make a poster on Friday showing different advertisements in magazines. Bring a poster and magazine to school Friday

Juniors- continue to discuss chapters 9, 11 and the Constitution.
Seniors- Test on chapter 9 will be on Friday, this is short chapter and shouldn't be too difficult

Halloween Carnival- date for the carnival is Tuesday, Oct 29th.  Juniors are responsible for the ring toss.  I already have volunteers signed up to work 30 min shifts.  We do need to bring either 3 2 liter soft drinks or $5 for the class to purchase them by this Friday,  Thanks!

Sr Economics  This week we will finish Chapter 7 and have a test on Thursday or Friday.  We will also finish the Stock market project for a grade

September 24th

Juniors-  this week we are starting the chapter on the revolution. This should take 2 weeks to complete before we have a test.  The homecoming reception was a success, thanks for all of the food- it was delicious

Seniors-  this week we starting the chapter on savings and investing.  We are currently watching stocks and mutual funds (chosen by groups) to see whose will earn the most money.  This chapter test should be next week.

End of the 9 weeks is Oct 11, if you have been absent from school and need to make up work, it should be made up by October 2nd or it becomes a zero!

My 2nd period class will also bring 1 gingerale each and 3rd period will bring 1 white grape juice each.
The class will pay for the cake, flowers, cups, plates, etc out of the class fund.  Mrs. Campbell and I will provide trays for the food.  If you are signed up for the fruit or vegetable tray, please bring your $6 by Wednesday of next week so that I can buy the food.  thank you!

9 wks test

9 weeks test for history will be Monday after Fall Break.  Both Juniors and Seniors will have a test that covers all of the chapters up to this point so study hard.  We will review Thursday and Friday so hopefully everyone will be ready.  Be sure that ALL of your missing work is made up by Friday or else I will have to give you a zero and I don't want to do that.

Don't forget that tomorrow is chapter tests for both Juniors and Seniors as well.
