DC trip info

This week I would like to get some feedback from the students and any parents interested in going to DC.  First, I have heard that White House security has become very strict and takes quite a long time to get through and we are only allowed to view approx 3 rooms.  With time being very precious, do we want to tour the White House or we can go to the White House Visitors Center and have our picture taken in front of the White House and have more time to go to other places?  Just a thought to think about, I don't want to dictate what we do but we could have more time to spend in other places.  Second, I am giving the kids a list of the places that we can tour and to choose their top 10.  I think we'll be able to go to most of these places anyway but if there seems to be a popular site, I want to make sure we go there (its their trip and I want it to be awesome).  As soon as I know how much room there is for parents I will let you know along with a set price.

announcements

Hello everybody!  I am glad to be back with my PLA family for junior history this year.  Blogging is a new "thing" for me but I will try my hardest to keep everyone updated on any tests or special assignments.  This week should be quiz and test free so stay tuned for details.

Attention 9th graders and parents:  I am also thrilled to tell you that I will be in charge of the trip to DC this year.  We have some really neat options to look at and I will try to have those available for you to look at and talk about.  As soon as I know how much room is available for chaperones I will be sure to let you know.  So stay tuned for updates, they will be coming soon.
